Isaiah Henderson Battle Star XV September 24 2003 Isaiah Henderson (4-1) vs. Donny Davis (5-12) This fight was dominated by Isaiah. Heavy Left-hook in the 1st rd caused an 8 count. 5 Right-hooks to the body followed by a Left-hook visibly hurt Davis but did not knock him down in the 2nd. Another Straight-right hurt Donny in the 3rd w/o a knock-down. All Henderson in the 4th rd as well. 40-35 decision for Henderson. Isaiah’s best punch was his Left-hook. He also showed a good Straight-right. It appeared Henderson wanted to counter-punch but Davis did not throw many punches. Battle Star XVII January 28 2004 Isaiah Henderson (6-1) vs. Omar Clemons (0-0) This was not much of a contest. Isaiah won via TKO at 2:25 of 1st round after a Straight-Right caused an 8 count and then two other knockdowns occurred. A final Straight-Righted ended the fight. SHOBOX: The New Generation September 2 2004 Donnie McCrary (6-1-1, 5 KO's) vs. Isaiah Henderson (7-1, 5 KO's) This was a great, even fight. Close first round I gave to Donnie because of effective work on the inside. Toss-up second round as Isaiah landed a good body shot while Donnie landed a good head shot. Toe to toe to start the third round with both landing good shots. Donnie earned the round with more work in the second half of the round as Isaiah showed signs of tiring. Isaiah came back in the fourth to control the round even though Donnie did land a good Left Hook. It was not enough to get the fourth round. Both fighters appeared fatigued in the fifth round with Donnie doing more work to earn the round. Good sixth round going to Donnie. He landed more punches. Entertaining fight throughout even as both fighters began to tire. Now to the scorecards: 58-56 McCrary, 58-56 Henderson, and 60-54 McCrary for the split-decision victory for Donnie McCrary. Battle Star XX September 22 2004 Jeremy Shuey (0-0) vs. Isaiah Henderson (7-2) A slow first round as Isaiah switched from a conventional stance to lefty. Jeremy was unable to reach Isaiah in the first. Round two was slow again as Isaiah chose to keep his distance. More action in the third as Henderson turned up the heat. The fourth was a bit slow until the last thirty seconds of the round when Henderson landed a good body punch. It hurt Jeremy and Isaiah noticed it. Isaiah moved in and began throwing punches to the body. A Left Hook to the body followed by a Straight Right to the stomach knocked Shuey down for an eight count as the bell sounded. Jeremy did beat the eight count so to the scorecards: 40-35, 40-34, and 40-36 all going to Henderson. Clash of the Titans II November 19 2004 Donnie McCrary (7-1-1) vs. Isaiah Henderson (8-2) I was really looking forward to this rematch. Donnie dominated the 1st round as he was able to dodge the Jab of Isaiah and caught Henderson with a quick Short Right Hook for a flash knockdown. McCrary could tell Henderson was not that hurt so he stayed patient, continued to dodge the Jab and land Lefts and Rights. Donnie easily gets the 1st round. The 2nd round ended abruptly. Donnie slipped in a neutral corner and as the ref came in to wipe off Donnie's gloves, Isaiah landed an incredible right hand that knocked McCrary out of the roped and instantly unconscious. Isaiah did not know the ref was stepping in and the ref immediately indicated that it was an accidental punch. The fight ended in a no-contest.
