St. Joe Frontier Casino's River Rumble II September 10 2005 Event was held at the St. Joe Frontier Casino in St.

Robert Smallwood (140) vs Juan Astoria (153) 8/8/79 1-0 9/14/78 0-0 St. Joe, MO. Lee Summit, MO.
Astoria took control at the start, landing hard jabs and hard shots to the head and body. Smallwood tried to stop the Astoria assault by tying him up and landing shots on the inside. a clash of heads (midway in the round) caused a cut under the left eye of Smallwood. the cut seemed to fire Smallwood up as he forced the action in the last min. of the round landing a big right hand that stunned Astoria and the end of the round. Seconds into the second round Astoria landed a big right hand dropping Smallwood. Smallwood got right up didnt seem to be to hurt. both fighters jump right back into the action landing hard shots, then Smallwood lands a perfect right hand to the chin of Astoria dropping him to the canvas. Astoria up by the count of 6, as the round continued Astoria seemed to take control landing hard shots to Smallwoods body to finish the round. in Round 3 the action slowed as both fighters seemed to pick their shots, Astoria won the round by landing the more affective shots . Round 4 was all action, both fighters landing hard shots. Smallwood landed a hard shot that backed Astoria into the ropes, great give and take action with Smallwood coming on stronger to close the round. Dennis Race (146) vs. Jeremy Dobson (136) 8/3/83 0-0 4/3/78 0-0 Kansas City, MO. Cameron, MO.
Race came out fast landing good quick jabs and hard body shots. Dobson tried to cover up but was dropped by a hard body shot just seconds into the round. The fight continued with the same result Dobson covering up and Race pounding away to the midsection, again Race landed a hard shot the ribs dropping Dobson a second time .Dobson climbed back to his feet but was clearly hurt, with that the ref. stepped in stopping the bout at 59 seconds into the first round. Brian Bernard (185) vs. Ellis Scott (195) 11/2/75 0-1-1 4/3/70 0-0-1 St. Joe, MO. Topeka, KS
Both fighters started slow and seemed to be feeling each other out. not allot of action Bernard working behind the jab and Ellis picked his spots to fire single shots. Round 2, Bernard working behind a good jab started landing good hard shots to the head of Ellis. Ellis seemed to be hurt by the hard shots as he spent the round covering up and only firing back when forced into a corner. Round 3 and 4 were more of the same Bernard forcing the action and Ellis just fighting to survive . Tyler Seever (170) vs. Raymond Dilworth (164) 3/12/84 1-3 1/5/84 0-0 St. Joe, MO. Topeka, KS.
Round 1, Seever came out throwing wide hard shots Dilworth countered landing a hard right hand that dropped Seever. upset over being dropped Seever went right back after Dilworth, Dilworth caught Seever coming in ,again with another right hand dropping him hard to the canvas. The second knockdown seemed to wake up Seever, as he calmed down and started to box and put his punches together to finish the round. Round 2. Seever landed a big right to start the round backing Dilworth into the ropes. With Diworth’s back against the ropes Seever unloaded with hard shots to the head , a vicious left from Seever snapped Diworth’s head back causing the referee to step in and stop the bout at 51seconds of the second round. Jennifer Trzicky (102) vs. Sandra Ortiz (101) 6/24/72 0-0 6/21/75 3-1-1 St. Joe, MO. Topeka, KS.
Trzicky came out swinging trying to take control, but Ortiz’s power proved to be to much as she took control and kept Trzicky covering up the remainder of the round. Round 2 was all Ortiz has she landed clean hard shots and with Trzicky unable to answer back the bout was stopped at 47 second of the second round. Leonard Hetle (167) vs. Jeremy Berger (160) 3/19/79 0-0 4/30/86 0-0 Kansas City, MO. Kansas City, MO.
A one sided fight as Hetle came out and pounded Berger the entire round , Berger’s corner stopped the fight at the end of the first round. Hetle wins by tko round 1 _____________________________________________________________________________________
Tyler Ziolowski (144) vs. Derick Campos (142) 10/6/83 2-1 3/14/81 2-1 St. Joe, MO. Topeka, KS.
Round won was action packed , both fighters landing good shots and both fighters having their moments. Campos seems to win the round by closing with a hard flurry before the bell. rounds 2,3 & 4 were all the same. Ziolowski controlled the rounds landing good clean effective punches and Campos just trying to counter. Scores were 39-37,39-37,39-37 Ziolowski wins unanimous decision _____________________________________________________________________________________
Jorge “Michi” Munoz (159) vs. Donnie Davis (162) 5/3/81 7-0 1/5/69 7-13 Topeka, KS. Topeka, KS.
Munoz showed why he’s one of the best fighters around. Giving a true boxing lesson, Munoz controlled the action in the first 3 rounds landing a stiff jab and perfectly timed power shots, while using his speed to avoid Davis’s punches. In the 4th round Munoz turned up the heat landing hard shots and with Davis clearly in trouble the fight was stopped at 2:38 of the 4th round. Galen Brown (183) vs. Jesse Corona (185) 6/16/81 20-3-1 11/8/72 6-15-1 St. Joe, MO. Wichita, KS
Brown made a big statement from the start landing a hard uppercut that rocked Corona. Brown seeing his opponent was hurt started toying with him by leaping in with hard shots and the dropping his hands taunting Corona the rest of the round. round 2 was a little slower paced, while landing a hard shot Brown hurt his (right) hand , with his hand clearly hurting Brown spent the rest of the round keeping Corona at the end of the jab. the rest of the fight Brown spent switching back and forth from right to left handed, firing the right hand only when he had Corona in trouble. Brown showed great skill out boxing and controlling most of the fight with one hand. scores were 60-54,60-54,60-54 Brown win’s by unanimous decision _____________________________________________________________________________________
Donnie McCrary (170) vs. Isaiah Henderson (169) 10/15/82 11-2-1 6/21/84 9-2 St. Joe, MO. Kansas City, MO
This fight had fans on their feet, from the opening bell it was all action. Both fighters landed good shots and neither willing to back up. Round 2 was more of the same until McCrary caught Henderson with a right hand dropping him in the corner. Henderson didn't seem to be hurt and jumped right back into the action and working behind his jab landed a good uppercut the back McCrary into the ropes as the bell sounded to end the round. Round 3 and 4 seemed to go to Henderson as he used his speed to land and out box McCrary. Round 5 was pretty even both fighters having their moments in an all action round. the 6th and finial round was all out war. Henderson had McCrary backed into the ropes landing quick shots but as he was stepping back to get punching room McCrary landed a left hook catching Henderson off balance and dropping him to the canvas. Henderson clearly upset over the knockdown tried to turn the fight around by standing his ground as both fighters traded shots till the end of the round. scores were 59-53,60-52,58-54 McCrary wins by Unanimous decision
