Obon Robinson (1-0) vs. Randy Henderson (0-0)

Obon controlled the first round.  Obon primarily used Left Hooks to the body during the first minute of the round.  In the middle of the round, Obon concentrated on the head using Left Jabs and an occasional Left Hook.  He finished up the round by using Left Hooks to the body and head.  It only took 0:36 for Obon to use his Left Jab and a power Left Hook to knock out Randy.  Randy was out from the Left Hook but was hit two more times before he hit the mat.  Obon looked impressive.

Aaron Boldridge (0-4) vs. Anthony Nelson (0-4)

Neither fighter portrayed much skill in the first round.  I gave the round to Aaron because he did more work regardless of the effectiveness of either fighter.  Quality picked up in the second round as Anthony was able to land a power shot to get an eight count.  Aaron tried to use his jab early but they were ineffective.  Anthony ignored the jabs and landed a Right Hook to the body followed by a Right Hook to the head to earn another eight count.  Aaron got up and was willing to continue.  Anthony landed another Right Hook to the head at which point Aaron turned his back.  Anthony landed a shot to the back.  Aaron turned back around and ate another heavy shot and went down and the ref mercifully stopped the contest at 2:34 of the third round.

Aaron Drake (5-0) vs. Oscar Perez (1-1)

Skill level picks up in this fight as both fighters traded quality shots.  Drake was more effective during the second exchange to get the first round.  The second round began with a flash knockdown by Aaron Drake.  Drake followed up the knockdown by forcing Perez to the ropes and unloading.  Perez was able to withstand the barrage because he was not hurt from the knockdown.  Both fighters spent the last half of the round trying to find an opening for their jab.  Drake was able to finish the round by landing a Left and Right Hook to the head.  Drake knocked down Perez again in the third round.  Drake first cornered Perez and after a multi-punch attack, he stepped back and was able to land a beautiful Over-Hand Right followed by two more power punches before Perez voluntarily took a knee for an eight count.  Oscar was able to survive to the bell to force another round.  He forced the fourth round but it only took Aaron 0:31 to again pummel Perez to a knee and this time Oscar was unwilling to get back up.

Chevelle Hallback (22-4-1)  vs. Kimberly Colbert (2-4)

Action packed first round with Hallback displaying a quick jab.  Kimberly was able to hang in there against the fast pace of Hallback and landed a good Right Hook late in the round to serve notice of her participation.  The second round was full of excitement.  Hallback was knocked nearly out of the ring while trading punches with Colbert in the middle of the ring.  A wide Left Hook connected and sent Chevelle back toward the ropes and nearly out.  Chevelle was very upset when she saw the ref performing an eight count.  She was not hurt physically but was emotionally as she was ticked and it showed in her relentless attack after the eight count.  Chevelle landed multiple Right Hooks to the head and when Colbert covered up, she threw piston-like punches to the body with both hands.  Kimberly stopped one attack by leaning on a bent over Hallback.  Then Chevelle force Kimberly into her own corner and again unloaded.  Kimberly was bent over and not throwing punches which caused the ref to step in just as the ten second warning was given for the end of the round.  Colbert was very upset that it was stopped and I think if the ref would have heard the warning before he stepped in he would have let it continue.  As it was, Chevelle Hallback get a TKO victory at 1:52 of the second round.

Jeff Carpenter (11-10-1) vs. Ronnie Warrior (8-1-1)

Carpenter forced the action at the start of the round.  He forced Ronnie into the corner and landed good body punches.  Ronnie came out of the corner and worked his Right Jab.  The middle of the round was close but that changed in the final minute of the round.  Ronnie threw a token Right Jab for timing and then landed a Left Cross that sent Jeff out of the ring and onto the state observers table.  Somehow, Jeff realized where he was and he rolled back onto the side of the ring, crawled inside the ring, and got up at the eight count.  He was wobbly but convinced the ref to allow him to continue.  Jeff then landed a power shot of his own but it did not have the same kind of effect on Ronnie.  Warrior then landed a Right/Left combination followed by a Right Upper-cut that began the shutdown process inside of Jeff.  Carpenter did manage to pull himself up before the count of eight but when asked to walk towards the ref he chose the long way and the fight was stopped at 3:00 of the first round.

Jeri Sitzes (5-5-1) vs. Lisa Pederson (2-2-1)

Jeri wins the first round due to two separate occasions of a Double jab followed by a Right Cross.  Lisa mainly threw Jabs and moved.  Jeri sprinted across the ring to start the second round and landed a flush Straight Right followed by two more power Right Hands that sent Lisa reeling.  Lisa was able to stay on her feet and then use her movement to avoid more damage.  Towards the end of the round, Jeri landed a Left Hook out of nowhere that sent Lisa into the ropes.  Jeri threw two more power punches but Lisa was able to move out of the way and then clinch to reach the bell.  The second round could have been scored a 10-8 due to the dominance.  Jeri again dominated the third round using Left Hooks and Straight Rights.  Lisa's only chance to score was to throw a quick Jab and move.  An unmerciful attack by Jeri in the fourth round.  Sitzes landed power shot after power shot.  Lisa somehow stayed up until she was up against the ropes and Jeri landed body shots and practically pushed her to the canvas.  Lisa got up and was able to hang on until the bell.  To my surprise, Lisa came out and used a Jab and movement to limit Jeri's output.  Enough so that I gave the fifth round to Lisa.  Jeri regained control in the sixth by changing her angles.  This kept Lisa from landing her Jabs in the sixth.  More power from Jeri in the sixth but Lisa simply would not go down.  We go to the scorecards for the decision:  60-52, 60-53, and 60-53 all for Jeri Sitzes.

I have mentioned in the past that Jeri's stance was too upright due to her kickboxing background.  Well she has improved that nicely.  Her stance is wider to give her more leverage on her punches.  It still appears that someone with a good Jab and movement can give her trouble.

Rob Calloway (48-5-1) vs. Kerry Biles (6-4-1)

This fight was all about Rob getting work.  I felt that he should have been able to knock Biles out at any time.  The only thing I saw from Biles was an ability to throw a Jab.  It was not that fast but did land which was a surprise.  It took until 2:52 of the sixth round before Calloway dispensed of an outclassed Biles.  The round-by-round analysis would consist of Biles throwing a Jab and Calloway throwing punches to the head.  Biles did have a good defense against the head shots and it was the body attack that lowered Kerry's hands in the sixth for the TKO punches.
