Municipal Auditorium
Kansas City, Missouri

Marianne Chubirka (3-4, 115 lbs) vs. Jessica Dugan (0-0, 105 lbs) 4 rds Flyweight
Marianne started throwing punches at the bell and did not stop until Jessica was done at 0:23 TKO of the 1st

Andre Wilson (5-0-1, 118 lbs) vs. Keiron Armour (2-0-2, 119 lbs) 4 rds Bantamweight
The first round was tight until Andre Wilson landed a powerful left to the body that caused Keiron to go down.  He made it up at the count of 9.  Andre then charged in and focused exclusively on the body and got a TKO victory at 2:59 of the 1st round.

Richie Carmack (1-0, 281 lbs) vs. Clinton Boldridge (5-7, ? lbs) 4 rds Heavyweight
Richie came to Clinton’s side of the ring to begin the bout.  He landed a couple of body shots to move him to the ring where he unloaded a barrage of bunches until Boldridge went down.  He was hurt from the punches but then hurt his knee on the way down.  Carmack gets a KO win at 0:31 of the 1st round.

Julius Fogle (13-0, 174 lbs) vs. Clinton Bonds (3-6, 176 lbs) 6 rds Light Heavyweight
Fogle dominated the 1st round.  He landed most of what he through while blocking most of Bonds punches.  Fogle did go back to ropes when Bonds attacked but just waited for a counter and landed effectively.  The second round started as the first with Fogle in control.  Shortly into the round, Bonds pounded his chest saying bring it on, so Fogle landed a Left Hook that send Bonds to the canvas.  Bonds got up at 8 but did not have his legs so referee Mike England call an end to the bout at 1:07 of the 2nd round – TKO for Fogle.

Kevin Finley (6-0-1, 153 lbs) vs. Jeff Hinds (7-6, 152 lbs) 6 rds Junior Middleweight
Finley showed some incredible power in this fight.  He landed a short over-hand right to get an 8 count on Hinds.  I was a bit surprised that Hinds continued but he did.  Then a wicked left to the body followed by a left hook to the head ended the fight with a KO victory at 2:18 if the 1st round.

Paul Maranaccio (21-2-2, 242 lbs) vs. Tommy Connelly (15-8, ? lbs) 10 rds Heavyweight
A fairly inactive first round until just before the bell when Maranaccio landed a left to the body that sent Connelly to the mat.  He beat the count and went to his corner to prepare for the 2nd.  The fight ends early in the second.  Maranaccio overpowered Connelly to the body for a TKO win at 1:11 of the 2nd round.

Rob Calloway (57-7-1, 199 lbs) vs. Doug Kaluza (16-6-1, 198 lbs) 10 rds Cruiserweight
Rob Calloway faced Doug Kaluza in the co-main event Thursday night at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri.  Calloway returned to the cruiserweight division after 7 years in the heavyweight division.

Kaluza was target practice for Calloway who knocked Doug down twice in the first round.  Kaluza answered the bell for the second round only to get knocked down two more times.  The second time, Kaluza’s head and neck landed on the bottom rope which was the signal for referee Frank Aguilar to stop the fight at 1:43 of the 2nd round for a KO victory.

Marcos Ramirez (23-0, 125 lbs) vs. Alvin Brown (26-9, 125 lbs) 12 rds Featherweight
Marcos forced the action from the start.  He was not able to land to the head for the first two minutes of the round so he focused on the body.  Marcos landed a hard right to the body when Alvin went to adjust his trunks.  Then in the last minute, Marcos landed a short over-hand right that send Brown down but he got back up quickly.\ to make it to the bell.  Alvin gained control in the second round with double left hooks to the body and head.  That lasted until the last thirty seconds when Marcos again caught Brown with a short right hand for an eight count.  Marcos built on the knockdown in the second by beating Alvin to the punch in the third round to easily get the round.  There were more exchanges between the two fighters in the fourth round with Marcos winning most of them.  Marcos is effectively landing left upper-cuts on the inside to gain an advantage.  Alvin tried to be more assertive in the fifth round landing some good combinations.  The problem is, Marcos would absorb the punches and counter when Brown completed the flurry getting the better contact.  Marcos spent most of the sixth round beating Alvin from pillar to post.  At one point, Alvin lost his balance falling out of the ring trying to get away from the attack.  Finally, Alvin’s corner had seen enough and came into the ring with the towel to get the beating to stop.  Marcos gets a TKO victory at 2:50 of the 6th round.
